The Senate President Addressing The Protesters

Today the 08th February, 2016 , powerful groups of representatives from the Nigeria
Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) respectively
came to the National Assembly to protest .



According to protesters they are protesting the 45% upward
increment of electricity tariffs by the power companies.

The senate president , Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki assured them  that the Senate, and the National
Assembly as a whole would do everything in her power to ensure
that everyday Nigerians do not have to suffer at the mercy of
corporations that seek to make profits on our heads, without
delivering on their services.
