AD HOLDS UNITY CONVENTION NOVEMBER

The Alliance for Democracy has fixed its state congresses on
November 10, 2015 and unity national convention in Abuja from
November 24th to 26th instant.
This was part of the resolutions of the party’s reconciliatory
National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at Emirates
Hotel and Suites Gwarinpa, Abuja and presided by its National
Chairman, Senator Mojisoluwa Akinfenwa.
Senator Akinfenwa commended party leaders and members for
their loyalty, steadfastness and support for the party since 1998
it was registered as a political party and promised to hand over
to a new national executive that would be elected at the
convention following the expiration of his tenure.
NEC set aside the composition of the party’s Board of Trustees
for the incoming national executive.
NEC directed the six geo-political zones to nominate a
representative that would serve in the party’s National Convention
Planning Committee while Senator Akinfenwa would nominate the
seventh person.
INEC officials who monitored the meeting were Haladu Siadu,
Asuquo Uye and Mrs. Bola Adewon. The meeting was at the
instance of the electoral umpire which directed the leadership of
AD to hold a reconciliatory NEC meeting and national convention
with a view to resolving its leadership crisis.
