Following the resurgence of sundry crimes in the two metropolis of Aba and Umuahia,  the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has reinforced  the ban on the operations of Okada riders within the metropolis of Aba and Umuahia.

In a release signed by the chief press secretary to the governor, Godwin Adindu, all  Okada operators should limit their operations to 7pm daily till further notice.

According to the release the  law-enforcement agents are to redouble efforts to stem the tide of violent crime in the state.

The Governor also warns  all criminals in the state to run away from the state or face total exterminaton.
