Judge us by our works – @GovernorIkpeazu tells Abians
Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has asked Abians to judge his administration by the works it has achieved given the time it has has served.
Ikpeazu made the remark on Friday, when he received Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state at the Government house, Umuahia.
The Governor stated that rather than make excuses with the distractions faced by his administration, he would allow his achievements speak.
“Despite the fact that we’ve been distracted for quite some time, we make bold to ask Abians to judge us by our work. I do not intend to make excuses about those distractions, rather let them see what we have been able to achieve by the special grace of God given the time we have served,” he said.
Speaking further on the common economic interest between Rivers and Abia, Ikpeazu disclosed that his administration is building an industrial estate in a 9,000 hectar land which is 30 minutes away to Onne in Rivers state. According to the Governor, “there is no industrial zone in Nigeria that has the same quality as the geographical area mapped out for the industrial estate.”
The Governor while describing his relationship with the Governor and people of Rivers state said:
“I count my relationship with Barr Wike as a blessing. He is a man who has continually encouraged me as a person. He has always reminded me that service is the hallmark of governance. If you’re unable to serve your people diligently, then you have lost as a servant.
