ABA MADE CLOTHES ON DISPLAY ON THE NEW YORK RUNWAY AS SENATOR ABARIBE ADVICES IGBOS IN THE DIASPORA TO ACT WISELY ON THE BIAFRAN AGITATION

The MADE IN ABA Fashion show happened last night in New York in fulfillment of the pledge made by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to ensure that Aba tailors and designers are given a global platform to strut their stuff.
The event was the annual convention of the Abia State National Association of North America.
Selected designers from Aba shipped their products to the US and they were modeled by Abia sons and daughters who live in the US to the admiration of the crowd that attended the event.
Deputy Governor Ude Oko Chukwu and his wife, Viviene represented Governor Okezie Ikpeazu at the event and restated the commitment of the State Government to continue to provide support to local manufacturers in the state, as a strategy of boosting the local economy in the state.
President of the Abia State National Association of North America, Dr. Chris Ike told the audience that this was their own little contribution to help boost the dreams of the Ikpeazu administration to help reposition the state.
Delivering a keynote speech, Senator representing Abia South at the Nigerian Senate, Enyinnaya Abaribe stated that the efforts at turning the economy of Aba town and the entire state is being badly hit by the current agitation which creates a picture of insecurity thereby discouraging people from coming to do business in Aba.
He stated that when the Federal High Court insisted that a Senator must be one of the guarantors of the bail for Nnamdi Kanu, he willingly took him on bail to show that we don't abandon our own and that mere agitation is a fundamental right but stated that Kanu must understand that where his rights end, those of others start.

He made it clear that Kanu's penchant to abuse and insult everybody including other Nigerians is a very wrong strategy that will make things difficult for him.
He appealed to Igbos in the diaspora to act with wisdom in supporting and even funding the agitation because of the high likelihood of exposing our people at home who have no means of traveling abroad to danger.
Aba musician, Ruffcoin Nwa Aba sang his hit songs that make every "Aba brought up" to have this deep feeling of pride.
Proud Abia daughter and World Bank staff, Vivian Irondi was at the event and showed that her many years of sojourn in the US hasn't made her lose her Aba side. The lovely outfit she wore to the event was made by Chris Ezinne Sandra in Aba.
Great event it was.
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Enyinnaya Appolos was live at the event and sent in all the beautiful reports pictures and videos.
He also promised to buy me three boxers and a brand new snuff box while returning.
This is in addition to the stuff promised me by Chief Greg Esotu, Past President of the Aba Sports Club who also attended the event. Oga Greg is the Special Adviser to the Governor on Small and Medium Enterprises.
