Agriculture: Abia seeks collaboration with RMRDC
Abia State Commissioner for Agriculture Rt Hon Uzo Azubuike has called for the collaboration of the State ministry of Agriculture and the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) for the realisation the Governor Okezie lkpeazu led administration of vision and mission of transforming agricultural sector for a sustainable Abia economy through Agriculture.
The commissioner made the call during an interactive meeting with the Director General /Chief Executive Officer of RMRDC Dr. Hussaini Doko Ibrahim, and his Directors in Abuja, stressed the need for the partnership especially in the development of Oil palm, Cassava, Rice, Rubber and Mushrooms full value chain.

Hon. Azubuike pointed out that the state is endowed with good tropical climate and vast agricultural land that favours massive production of different crops if fully harness will meet local and international market.
Hon. Azubuike pointed out that the Governor Okezie lkpeazu led administration in Abia has evolved agricultural programmes and policies that will place State as a major agric player in Nigeria.
In his response, Dr. Ibrahim eulogise Abia for the strides in Agricultural sector, and assured of the council's readiness in collaborating with the state in value addition in palm oil, Cassava, Rice and Mushrooms value chain productions.
