ABIA WORKERS IN JOYOUS MOOD AS IKPEAZU CLEARS 2016 SALARIES FOR MDAs.

BY UCHE OLEHI

For workers in the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), the saying that a labourer deserves his wages has found clearer expression in Abi ,God's Own State, where Dr Okezie Ikpeazu is at the helm of affairs.

This is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. No genuine  Abia Government worker (in the MDAs) without issue, is being owed from January to December, 2016. Since this week, they have been receiving their December Salaries and expectant of January which would soon drop.

It would be remembered  that Governor Okezie  Ikpeazu had assured workers he would draw from the Paris Refund Fund to pay accumulated salaries occasioned by poor Internally Generated Revenue and lean allocation from the Federal Government. Now,he has honoured his word.

Other than the MDAs, the state had also given statutory subventions to institutions and parastals  that handle their staff pay. Some of them have received from three months upwards, according to Abia authorities.

So,when next you hear Ikpeazu is owing, simply ask,
"have you received your December salary?". Pls, inbox me the worker's response .You would sure be rewarded 'in kind'.

Meanwhile,a Senior colleague of mine has theorised that some
workers wouldn't want  anybody to know they are being paid at all.
Many  are also in love with the number nine and  six, which explains why we are all being owed "Nine or Six Months",depending on his or her audience.

Ndi Abia, I declare that under Governor Ikpeazu's watch workers would continue to get paid despite the difficult times. Government would also continue to address other obligations it owes Abia citizens, majority of whom are not civil servants. This explains why Dr Ikpeazu is fulfilling his campaign promises anchored on Infrastructure Development,
Trade and Commerce,Agriculture,Health,Education,amid
other enablers.
