Breaking: Eyitayo Jegede maintains comfortable lead in the first ballot but election may be inconclusive.
There are reports according to REPORTER TIMES Online news papers that Voters in the Ondo Central has given the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) bloc votes amounting to about 79% is making waves in the state capital Akure, there are noticeable celebrations ahead of the result collations. Recall that the Senatorial district has over 520,000 voters cards collected by voters who were willing to participate in the election.
The Ondo North and South where the APC and AD candidates came from are being massively contested by all the contestants including Jegede. The Deputy Governor of Jegede is reportedly to be very influential and he is from Ondo South, it is reported that he has been able to garner about 40% of the total votes from the area. Ondo North is the place where candidate are at logger heads and Eyitayo Jegede could be able to take about 39.5% of all the votes from the area. The incidents of Violence, voters inducements and recorded cases of military and police force taking sides in the election may end up making the whole process remain inconclusive because it seems the Ondo people have resolved to continue with the transformation of governor Olusegun Mimiko sighting the error Nigerians made in the 2015 elections.
