BAG MAKERS TO GET A PERMANENT SITE"- SAY COMMISSIONER FOR INDUSTRY
The Commissioner for Industry, Science and Technology Chief Henry Ikoh has assured Bag Makers Association Aba that their group will be given a permanent site at Umukalika Industrial cluster.
Chief Ikoh who stated this when leaders of Bag Makers Association Aba paid him a courtesy call in his office enjoined them to always produce quality bag, stressing that the government of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu through the Ministry will ensure that their products are marketed as well as have access to interest free loan from the Bank of Industry.
He enjoined them to shun leadership tussle and organize themselves according to their business names to enable them get their own shops and workshops at Umukalika Industrial cluster which was designed with all modern facilities. Speaking earlier, one of the leaders, Mr. Charles Nnadozie, frowned at the manner Bag makers are scattered and expressed strong desire for them to be together at Umukalika to enable them maximize their potentials while pledging their total commitment towards the realization of this laudable project by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s administration.
Highlight of the visit was the presentation of a quality bag produced in Aba to the Commissioner, Chief Henry Ikoh and the Permanent Secretary, Elder Okechukwu Aguwa.
