ABIA APGA GUBER CANDIDATE ALEX OTTI FILES CROSS-APPEAL AT SUPREME COURT
Dr. Alex Otti, the APGA governorship candidate in the 2015 election
in Abia State has faulted the ruling of the court of appeal that
disenfranchised Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and the Ngwa people
in three LGAs, by cancelling the governorship election results in Obingwa, Osisioma and Isiala Ngwa North .
Otti, who has realized that what he paid and got at the court of
appeal was an empty judgement that can't stand, has filed a
cross-appeal at the Supreme Court, challenging the ruling of the
court of appeal that declared him 'winner'.
What this means is that Otti is seeking for other ground upon
on which judgement can be given his favour at the Supreme
Court. In other words Otti has agreed with Governor Ikpeazu
that court of appeal ruling was not trite and can't stand.
Meanwhile, recall that Governor Ikpeazu, PDP and INEC have
filed an appeal at the Supreme Court, challenging the ruling of
the Justice Oyebisi Omoleye-led Panel of the Court of Appeal
that nullified the election of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia
State.
