Abia partners UNDP on devt Strategy

Abia partners UNDP on development Strategies. Abia State Government has opened discussions to collaborate with UNDP to drive and sustain development aspirations in the State.

 Dr.Okezie Ikpeazu who received a powerful delegation of UN representatives led by the UN ResidentsHumanitarian Coordinator, Mr Edward Kallon at the Government House, Umuahia, included infrastructure and Erosion challenges as part of issues to tackle in the State. Mr Edward Kallon said his team is in Abia for a genuine partnership that will add value to the development aspirations of the State.

 According to Mr Kallon, the visit will afford the team an opportunity to study the challenges and better ways to partner with the Government so as to make an objective analysis in the area of Erosion and development challenges in the State.

 He went further, "United Nation has the capacity to help and accelerate implementation of the SDGs and support formulation of policies to support SDGs at the state level, Will ensure that humanitarian assistance is timely and efficient".
