Ikpeazu meets Osinbajo over development of SME in Aba

The Governor of Abia State Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has met with the Acting President Prof Yemi Osibanjo.

Briefing newsmen after the meeting he held close door between the Governor and the Acting President, at the Presidential Villa Governor Ikpeazu said he was in the Villa on the invitation of the Acting President who is very keen on the socioeconomic development going on in Abia State especially as it concerns MSMEs in Aba.

The Governor hinted that over the period of 2 years the business operating environment in Abia has improved and that the federal government is seeking ways to partner with the State Government to fully return Aba, the commercial capital of Abia State, as a major thriving economic and industrial zone.

According to the Governor, the Acting President is of the view that Aba can support the federal government realize it's economic targets in terms of job and wealth creation.

It will be recalled that the Ag President in January choose Aba to launch the maiden edition of the nationwide MSME clinic.

The Acting President informed the Governor that plans have been concluded to invited the selected entrepreneurs from Aba to Abuja for empowerment.
