Barely 11 months of taking the mantle of leadership, Gov. Ikpeazu has changed the face of Abia state for good with his change saga. Virtually all areas of human endeavour has been turned.

Gov Okezie Ikpeazu after taking the oath of office swore to transform Abia state to economic hub of Africa, without doubt we believed him knowing full the stuff he is made of, However, we never knew it will come so soon , the oppostion's distractions not withstanding.

All the sectors have received irrepressible face lift in a jiffy.

In the health sector, the Gov. In a bid to make Abia a medical tourism state,(where people all over the globe will rush for their medical diagnoses cum treatment) has revitalized ABSUTH with state of the art facilities, over 350 nurses, innumerable paramedical officers and other staff to meet world standard

.

Not only employing them but as a governor that believes in professionalism has embarked on the training and retraining of the agile health officers.

The ministry of health has bounced back to life with the refurbishing of all the General hospitals.

 His government is about to pass a STATE MANAGEMENT INSURANCE SCHEME into law (NHMIS). A bill that has been commended by by both national and international stake holders in the medical profession. 

The programme when passed will facilitate fair financing of health care cost through pooling and judicious utilization of monetary resources, public private partnership to ensure that medical costs are reduced to the barest minimum,to protect the poor and venerable who may need medical attention but lack the wherewithal.

 There is no gainsaying, that Abia state will be the third state to sign the STATE CONTRIBUTORY HEALTH COMMISSION into law as part of its resolve to hotfoot the attachment of universal health coverage.

The Agricultural sector is not left out as the Action of Governor Dr. Ikpeazu has launched a scheme titled "Return to farming and women in the fish farming initiative". An initiative that is aimed at empowering the youths, women and farming cooperation who satisfy the conditions..

This programme is to train and empower over 3,000 unemployed youths in the areas of crop production, fish farming, poultry, food processing among many others. With approximately 10,000 hectares of land already available.  In a very short time  over 3,000 youths of Abia state will smile and wave goodbye to hunger , unemployment, youth restiveness and  in turn generate revenue to the government making it a safe destination for foreign investors. It should also be pointed out that efforts re on pipeline to resuscitate Abia palm with capacity to provide about 3500 jobs in the area.

On the area of education Gov. Ikpeazu as an academic don has done well, As a man who vowed not to toil with the future of young Abians in the academic sector by appointing Prof. Ikechi Mgbeoji ,a professor of law at Osgoode Hall Law School, Toronto Canada as the Honourable commissioner of education.

Dr. Ikpeazu through the help of Prof. Ikechi Mgbeoji has giving education in Abia a new meaning, there's massive rehabilitation of classrooms (Primary and secondary) in all the 17 local government areas in the state.

So far about 800 Abia youths have registered for the education for employment program .

Dr. Ikpeazu's aim of establishing the E4E is to provide education that leads directly to public,

private or self-employment through planned linkages with

industries & other stakeholders.

The E4E was established last year by Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu to  empower the youths through vocational training, Abians outside Abia state can register online via Abiae4e.org.ng.

The area of infrastructure has also received the attention of the okezie change saga the governor has flagged off 63 roads for construction and about 23 roads has been fully completed and commissioned while work is in progress on the other roads. It is a known fact that the standard of roads being constructed by okezie ikpeazu is second to non as the erudite governor introduced the construction of roads using rigid pavement technology, popularly known as cement technology which can only be seen at the air tamac here in Nigeria.

The Enyimba city stadium that was left in a sorry state has been restored to it's glory. The governor is also working assiduously to give Ariaria international a face lift that will make it a destination of international products that will attract industrial captains. Which will in turn make Abia the Japan of Africa.

POWER SUPPLY..

Dr. Ikpeazu (Nwa Aba) has successfully resolved the Aba geometric dispute 

the governor has done that and Aba and environs will soon enjoy 12 to 18 hours power supply.

He did it because the long hours of

uninterrupted power supply per day will create jobs,

lower production costs and make local products

more competitive in the Local and International

markets, shooting up the Nation’s foreign exchange

earnings, etc.

Time will fail me to write about gov. Ikpeazus investments in the industrial sector, the Abia international  glass industry that has been revamped, the resuscitated golden Guinea brewery, the Abia palm, and other numberless industries that have received fresh breath since Dr. Ikpeazu took over. If this and many more could be achieved within this shortest period of time then am very confident and convinced beyond every iota of doubt that #betterDaysAreAhead. INDEED OKE-EZULA NDI ABIA
