August FIFA Ranking Nigeria improves


Nigeria dropped one place from 38th place to 39th place in July ranking following their shocking 2-0 home loss to South Africa in a2018 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.

In August, the Super Eagles are back to the 38th place again. With 716 points, Nigeria are tied at 38th place with Greece.
The Super Eagles remain sixth in Africa behind Egypt (25), Congo DR (28), Senegal (31), Tunisia (34) Cameroon (35), Nigeria (38), Algeria (48), Ghana (50), Cote d'Ivoire (54), Morocco (60).
In World Ranking, Brazil move up one place to become the number one country in world football.

World Champions Germany fell to second place with Argentina, Switzerland and Poland making up the top five.
