Uturu will be the fifth campus to host the show, which had been held with pomp and pageantry at University of Port Harcourt; University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus; Federal Polytechnic, Nekede; University of Uyo; and University of Nigeria, Nsukka Share this: Abia State University will this Friday experience the fun and entertainment associated with Glo block-busting music show, Glo Campus Storm, as the concert crew lands in Uturu where popular Nigerian artistes will delight students and people living in and around Abia State.
Uturu will be the fifth campus to host the show, which had been held with pomp and pageantry at University of Port Harcourt; University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus; Federal Polytechnic, Nekede; University of Uyo; and University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Already, Uturu is in party mood in anticipation of the show. The Glo Campus Storm road show activation team has also added to the excitement with their activities across the nook and cranny of the town and environ.
The show, which has been the subject of discussion among the students in Uturu, will feature dancing and singing competition, comedy, beauty pageantry and performance by top rated Nigerian music stars and music from up coming artistes.
The show will be anchored by ace comedian, Gordons, and will parade top music stars lined up to thrill the crowd at the concert. They include young hip-hop act, Kach; Victoria Kimani of Chocolate City; fast rising music sensation, Runtown; and Timaya, the Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa, while talented female disc jockey, DJ Lambo, will light up the environment with music. Speaking on the show, one of the students, Nkemakolam Okafor, a 300 level undergraduate that is anxiously looking forward to attending the show, said: “I attended the concert at the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede and was awed with what I saw. “Now that it’s the turn of my school to host the show, I’m going to feel at home.
“I can’t wait to see the likes ofTimaya and Runtown here in Uturu.” According to Globacom, the show will feature among other events the Glo Data Dude and Glo Data Diva competitions and 10 winners in each campus will receive up to N100,000 each in the competition. The 240 winners who emerge from 24 schools will have the chance of winning N1 million in scholarships in addition to being signed on as Globacom Brand Ambassadors.
They will also get special invitations to all Globacom organized events and shows such as the Glo-CAF Awards, Glo Laffta Fest and Glo Slide ‘n’ Bounce concerts. Globacom advised students wishing to attend the concert to recharge their Glo lines with N500 campus data plan and they will be automatically admitted into the venue for a night of endless entertainment.
