Senate bridged the gap between Nigerians on Social Media and the National Assembly via spass.legal@gma il.com
Citizens' Participation in formulation of Legislative Agenda for the
8th Senate
Following requests by Nigerians on social media regarding
legislations they would want amended or introduced in the 8th
Senate, as the senate puts together the final draft of the Legislative
agenda that will guide the affairs of the red chamber during this
tenure, according to the President of the senate, Bukola Saraki who
posted this today 04th November, 2015 via his official facebook page,
they will like to
secure the input of Nigerians into the formulation of this agenda.
He said that the contributions of all Nigerians will be crucial to ensuring that
bills passed into law from now till 2019 will have direct and
positive consequences on the lives of our people.
According to the senate chief, he looks forward to receiving
suggestions and comments from Nigerians
on the people oriented bills, he reiterate that our major focus in the 8th
Assembly is to close the gap between the legislative processes
and the citizenry whose faith and trust legitimize their role as
legislators.
"Our laws must serve, preserve and protect every
Nigerian, regardless of his station in life", he said
He therefore urge Nigerians to forward their contributions to spass.legal@gma
