GOV. IKPEAZU:DETERMINATION IS THE KEY

The desire to drive the economic growth and repositioning the state has
remained the priority of the Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu as he has
assured of his determination to deliver the dividends of democracy to Abians.

The Governor, who was speaking during the second edition of media parley
with journalists revealed that the state has received 14billion naira bailout for
the payment of salaries and pensions.

Beyond road construction in the state which was his focus in his first hundred
days in office, Dr Ikpeazu has unveiled that the government is set to flag-off
the construction of industrial clusters, block leakages in work force and
persecute economic saboteurs.

In order for the state to continue to thrive in Agriculture, the Governor has
stated his plans for massive oil-palm production which he maintained will
produce a huge array of young farmers, reduce unemployment and enhance
the prosperity of the people.

On the 14billion naira bailout, Dr Ikpeazu pledged that he will deploy the
money accordingly.

Redefining the state's ability to fend for itself in a competitive economy where
the centre is becoming financially weak every month, the Governor
emphasized on the need to prirotise small and medium enterprises.

He also harped on the need to focus on the enablers that will drive the
development of the state which includes power growth, security and education
adding that the government is active on 31 road construction sites which are
at various levels of completion.
