WHY ABIANS ARE HAPPY WITH GOV IKPEAZU, SCRIPTED BY. UCHE OLEHI

Abia state Governor, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu is obviously enjoying the support of Ndi Abia across the three Senatorial Districts (Abia South, Abia Central and Abia North). And the reasons are not far fetched.

The Governor's passionate determination to address Abia's infrastructural deficit, especially in Aba,the state commercial capital-with massive road rehabilitation- has an infectious appeal in God's own state. That's why even Ikpeazu's ardent critics are commending him for the initiative.

Abia people are also impressed with the current effort to restore the abused Aba drainage system which would save the town from flood and ensure free flow of traffic.

Similarly,the opening up of hitherto abandoned feeder/ frontage and link roads is also being hailed as a sure way the peoples' Governor is expanding the frontiers 

of urban development and commuting at the state's epicentre of economic activities.

Many Abians are equally applauding the demolition of illegal shops,kiosks,fences and buildings that encroach on the roads carried out by contractors after adequate notice had been served.

Dr Ikpeazu has vowed to turn Abia around. This he has begun in ernest. And that's why he has the support of the people.

In series of posts on this platform,I would be revealing more reasons Abia residents and indeed Nigerians are rallying behind Dr Ikpeazu,the 4th Executive Governor of the state.
